To ask the Minister of Health whether he will work with universities, Health and Social Care Trusts and the MInister for the Economy to secure an increase in the level of support provided to medical students through the Travel Contribution Scheme.

Answer
The Travel Contribution Scheme for medical students in some Health and Social Care Trusts is at pilot stage. The Scheme will be subject to validation later this year. Until this validation is complete, it would not be appropriate to consider any changes to the level of support provided through the Scheme.
