AQW 39256/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Finance

To ask the Minister of Finance to detail the amount of the £357.2 million funding that Northern Ireland received between 2022-2023 and 2025-2026, in relation to Business Rates Support made available to businesses, was used to provide additional targeted support to the Northern Ireland business community.

Barnett funding is unhypothecated and decisions around the allocation of “Barnett consequentials” received is taken by the Executive collectively based on its priorities.

The Executive currently provides a quarter of a billion pounds in rate support every year to non-domestic ratepayers.
