Answer

The Department of Health has secured public sector transformation funding of £42m to take forward ePharmacy digital solutions through the Go Pharmacy NI and Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions projects.

The transformation funding will allow the programme to now move at pace to develop and plan the implementation of the digital solutions and systems. This phase of the work is expected to be completed by 31 March 2029.

The aim is that this will enable Go Pharmacy NI to be rolled out to community pharmacies by 30 September 2029 and ETP in GP Practices and Community Pharmacies by 30 September 2030.
